I’ve been a lifelong activist but have never seen the level of courage, commitment and wonderfully righteous anger being displayed by the people of Minnesota. Despite the cold and the fear the ICE death squads have been spreading, you folks continue to show up in large numbers to defy the fascists. That’s because you simply know that Trump’s ICE murders are wrong and un-American and you’ve decided enough is enough. Someone has to stand up to them and I guess that someone is me!

That is the most courageous step anyone can take when faced with oppressive extremists. And so many of you who are showing up have little to no experience at protests or activism, but you are allowing your own moral compasses guide you.

I have been very active here in California participating in the resistance to the fascists but I am holding you up as an example of how people here, and everywhere, can respond to oppressive extremists.

I admire you so much! Many, many people here, across the country, and around the world, not only stand with you, but are inspired by you and I have no doubt that millions will become more active in fighting fascist cults like MAGA as a result of seeing you in the streets, facing down the heavily armed, lawless thugs who make up ICE.

Thank you for your courage and for setting an example for the rest of us.
