My mother’s family lived in St. Paul, Minnesota during the latter part of the 19th century. My mother grew up there and loved the state. Her father was one of the first Negro doctors there. When my brother & I returned Mom to her home state for burial, the funeral director told us Minnesota is one of the few states that typically buried Black and White people in the same cemetery. What I’m trying to say is Minnesota held a special place in my Mother’s and grandmother’s hearts. If she’s looking down, she is horrified at what is being done in her home state under cover of legitimacy. I have faith the truth will be clear to all those with decent, human hearts. Thank you for this opportunity to share my support.
