It’s hard to put together words you never thought you’d have to say to people you never thought would be enduring what you in Minnesota are enduring today. I guess I just want to tell you that up here in Canada we are paying attention. We are paying attention to ICE and its inhumane assautls on and kidnapping of people of colour including five-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos. We are paying attention to the murders of Renee Nicole Good and Alex Pretti. We are paying attention to the assault on Ilhan Omar and the arrest of journalists Don Lemon and Georgia Fort. We are paying attention to the strength and resilience of the people of MInnesota as they put themselves in harm’s way to support their neighbours and fight injustice.
