Hello Minnesotans, I have visited your beautiful state for a medical trip to the Mayo Clinic. Your folks were hospitable and kind. But my affinity for Minnesota goes back further than that. I grew up in Canada loving hockey and knew Minnesota as the home of the North Stars and chilly weather. My grandmother was basically Rose Nyland from the Golden Girls because my great-grandparents were from Norway. We made lefse every Christmas. I am well aware of the Norse influence in Minnesota culture. All this to say… please keep fighting, Minnesota! Canada is behind you.
