THANK YOU. Words cannot express how grateful I am to every one of you who is standing up and nonviolently resisting, however you can, against ICE and other law enforcement agents who, time and again, punish, assault, and murder the very people they should be protecting and serving. You are an inspiration. Your courage and resolve to help your neighbors, defend your community, and stand against injustice, sometimes at the cost of your safety and life, illustrate the very best of what this country is should stand for, against the very worst of what has always been at its heart. I have been frozen in uncertainty in the face of all this but you’ve shown me the most important thing I can do is to just act, even if that act seems minuscule. Because if we all do it, then collectively, we can make an impact. God bless you and keep you.
