Dear Minnesotan,
I am a high school student from a small town in Kentucky and I have never really had any kind of political involvement before, but I am looking for ways to support you, because this matters. As I read the news from my house (I’m snowed in), I am horrified by the brutality and lies of the federal government, but I am also deeply moved by the courage and compassion Minnesotans are showing. America and the world are watching as you care for your neighbors and stand up to the masked agents who terrorize your streets. You are my heroes. I thought of you this morning when the sun came up, the first real sunrise in three stormy days, and shards of ice tumbled from the branches. As I heard it clatter, I prayed that you would continue to be strong, to be a bright light and a warm community, because that’s what ICE fears the most. Sending love and prayers (and angry emails to my legislators)!
