To the folks making personal sacrifices to care for and protect your neighbors, writing thank you cards and delivering groceries, packing supplies and doing laundry, recording and documenting, tracking people’s loved ones down to drive them home or connect with legal aid, creating spreadsheets and phone trees, baking treats for protestors and patrollers, creating art and joy, blowing whistles and tending memorials, and everything else in between doing what you can when you can: thank you for being great neighbors and leaders. I know this takes tremendous a effort and a heavy toll, and, though I hope you do not need to sustain it in the long term, I love and appreciate you & all you’ve done. Your strength and commitment to your community is an inspiration and example to us all. Sending all the love and support I can from afar <3
