I live on a rural island in Alaska, reachable only by plane or boat. In our little town, 50 to 100 people stand outside each week at our town’s roundabout to protest and hold vigil and stand in solidarity with you. We hold signs supporting Minnesota and demanding ICE Out. I am so sorry you are being subjected to this, and I am grateful that you are finding the hope to continue getting up each day to respond and help the neighbors who are most in need. We are all in this together, from every corner of the country and the earth. We are rooting for you and thinking of you and we have your backs. Hope is what will get us through, truly. Keep singing, keep loving, keep hugging, keep caring, keep marching, keep whistling. You are leading us all through this dark time to a better place that lies ahead. Our souls and hearts are with you.
