I’m a trans woman from Wisconsin. I’ve known I’m next on the list after “illegal immigrants” for a long while, and seeing the chaos right next door has been more than a little frightening.

Seeing the organization of the response and the inability for the powers that be to respond, has- for the first time in a long while- made me feel a degree of optimism and safety.
