My heart and mind are with the people of Minnesota. I’ve been crying every morning the past couple of weeks thinking of the suffering you all are enduring. I’m angry as a fellow human being. I wish there was more I can do. Just know that if heaven truly exists, you all would be the first ones there. I’m so proud of everyone standing up for minorities. I was born in a detention camp and lived there for 5 years. I can still remember the smell of tear gas and I still wake up occasionally unable to breathe. I wish there were people standing up for me back then like you all are for the immigrant community now. You all give me hope for this country. I love you all.
