I am so touched by all of the stories I’ve read coming from the Twin Cities this week. I cannot help but be in absolute awe of the resilience, unity, and hard work put forth by community members trying to help their neighbors. As a Jew, I can’t help but recall 1940s Germany, when the movement to help your neighbors was distinctly more covert and less common. As I’m writing this, I’m brought to tears by the bravery and dedication so many have shown in this city. Thank you for fighting the fight against tyranny and for setting an inspiring blueprint for those who may be affected next. Here in New York, I’m terrified for the day ICE rains down upon our city, I pray it won’t come, but I can’t help but feel grateful for the action plan that Minnesota has set forth. I’m pray the military occupation will end and that you will all be free once again. Until then, keep inspiring from afar.
