Hello, I’m writing this as a Minnesotan living in New York, where I have the luxury and privilege of watching the horrors occurring in my hometown from a safe distance. Though I take part in protests and community actions here, it feels wrong to not be home. I want to extend my extreme gratitude and solidarity with everything you are doing- I hope you know that the world is watching, they are feeling, and they are acting in response to your efforts. Thank you for protecting our neighbors, thank you for upholding human decency, kindness, and what Minnesota nice is at its core. History will remember you, as I certainly will.
