Thank you for doing what is right and reminding us that most people are decent and caring neighbors. It is clear that powerful institutions and people are mostly paralyzed, while ordinary people with limited power are the ones showing courage and hope. By extension you are helping the rest of the country to not despair, and showing us we are the ones who will make the difference if push comes to shove. I’m married to a middle school teacher in a heavily immigrant area and he has already said that he doesn’t want to get hurt but knows what he will do if he has to — we are watching you guys do what has to be done every day. Thank you and sending love and comfort and shared hope for a better future!
